TOMOKI SANDERS, of American and Japanese nationality, plays the saxophone, in addition to composing and producing. He began his musical training at a very young age: by age 4 he was already playing percussion and piano; at 6, the clarinet; and since the age of 14, the tenor saxophone. His first performance was in Japan at the age of 13. He is the son of the legendary Pharoah Sanders, from whom he draws clear influence, although TOMOKI has developed his own musical language that blends free improvisation with African American and Asian influences, exploring themes of identity, spirituality, and cultural dialogue. His music invites a sonic experience that transcends genres and categories, positioning itself in a space of creative freedom and deep exploration.
