The Sweaty Poets is a band formed in 2017 in the Lavapiés neighborhood of Madrid. Composed of eight musicians from different backgrounds and styles, the band offers energetic concerts with a repertoire that alternates funk and soul. They perform songs by artists such as Wilson Pickett, Al Green, Otis Redding, and Tower of Power, fusing the multicultural influences of their members. They have performed high-energy shows in venues such as La Barco, El Sotano, El Perro de la Parte de Atrás del Coche, and El Hangar 48, and continue to bring their energy to multiple venues in Madrid.
