Miss Davis and the Forty-Fives are a show packed with hits from the past and present, mixed with original songs from the band that will be released very soon. Danceable funk, soul, and neo-soul music, sung with the unmistakable voice of Shirley Davis, a soul singer with her own sound and wide international recognition for her extensive career on stages around the world. She has lived in Madrid for the past seven years, performing with her original band, The Silverbacks, throughout Spain and Europe. Now she does so with the Forty-Fives in this new project that will soon see its first album released.
Shirley has also sung with many of the artists covered by her band, recording several singles with them: Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones, and Marva Withney, to name a few. Her band, the Forty-Fives, is made up of four seasoned and experienced musicians whose nationalities range from England to Puerto Rico, Romania, and, of course, Spain.
