Miss Davis and the Forty-Fives deliver a show full of classic hits from the past and present, blended with the band’s original songs—soon to be released. Their sound is a danceable mix of funk, soul, and neo-soul, all brought to life by the unmistakable voice of Shirley Davis—a soul singer with a unique sound and widespread international recognition for her long-standing career on stages across the globe.
Shirley has lived in Madrid for the past seven years, performing across Spain and Europe with her original band The Silverbacks. Now, with The Forty-Fives, she embarks on a new project, with their debut album set to be released soon.
Shirley has also sung with many of the artists her band covers, recording singles with legends like Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones, and Marva Whitney, to name a few.
Her band, The Forty-Fives, is made up of four seasoned and experienced musicians whose nationalities range from Angola and Puerto Rico to Romania—and of course, Spain.
