After cutting experience with names like Col3trane, Jim Legacy and ELIZA, while emerging in Jazz crossover acts like Silhouettes Project and Levitation Orchestra, Harry Ling a.k.a Mackwood has already carved out a versatile niche between his disciplines of drumming, production and songwriting. With an affinity for progressive Jazz, beatmaking and alternative dancefloor rhythms, Mackwood combines the cream of UK and international Jazz pedigree with London’s burgeoning player/producer elite. His upcoming music continues the UK’s celebrated tradition of crossover sounds with a strikingly deft sonic ear.
Regularly appearing with international Jazz names like Javier Santiago, Charlie Stacey and Kokorokos Yohan Kebede, Mackwood now takes centre stage with his debut album MASTER CHANGES. The past year has seen festival appearances at Glastonbury. We Out Here and Wilderness, and played packed out shows at the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s and the Jazz Cafe. Autumn 2025 sees Mackwoods first international shows on his first EU tour, with UK homecoming appearances at EFG London Jazz Festival and the inagural Jazz On Wick, from the minds behind now legendary Brainchild Festival and Orii Jam.
