Lalo López, the quintessential right-hand man of funk in the country, former guitarist and composer of the legendary Fundación Tony Manero and Chocadelia Internacional, presents his first solo album, “The Many Faces of Lalo López,” live, accompanied by his band, the Limited Orchestra. Lalo has surrounded himself with young producers from the urban and nu-funk scenes to create an album in which he unleashes his creativity and sonic heterodoxy, exploring disco-funk, electro, electronic pop, and hip hop. All of this is seasoned with a lyrical universe filled with irony, tenderness, and references to popular culture in equal measure, and accompanied on vocals by the explosive Brigitte Emaga and a high-quality modern funk band.
