Formed in 2017, Tangolo Mangos creates a chameleon-like sound that collides with different musical genres. The group recently released their first full-length album, “Garatujas,” available December 8, 2023. Their debut release, the EP “Mangas a Caminho da Feira nº1” (2019), was produced independently and at home, with six tracks that blend 1960s and 1970s rock with Brazilian regionalisms and elements of psychedelic music. In 2020, during the pandemic, unable to continue getting together to play shows, the group decided to seek new creative momentum, utilizing viable forms of remote production to bring ideas stored in their drawers to life, generating their second EP, “tngl_mngs.rar,” exploring elements ranging from psych rock to lo-fi hip-hop.
